Detroit rap station gets humma carjacked in the city.
DETROIT -- A group of armed teenagers carjacked the Hot 102.7 promotional Hummer on Detroit's eastside Tuesday afternoon.
"I don't understand why would you want to steal a Hummer with Russ Parr's big face plastered on the side of the vehicle," said an angry 102.7 DJ, Suga Rae.
The Hummer was recovered a few hours later on Canfield and Bewick streets. Police said there was only slight damage to the vehicle.
Police said the promotions manager was carjacked while filling up at the Shell gas station on Jefferson Avenue and Chene Street.
"Four guys pulled up and at gunpoint they took our hummer," said Ms. Smiley with the 102.7 promotions department.
No one was injured during the carjacking.
Police said they do not have any information on whether arrests in the case were made.
