I can't have much sympathy for Jack, either. Eight bucks and change on a $164 dollar tab is an enormous tip from nogs. (It could be entirely possible that she didn't even leave the 8 and change as stated, too). Overall, Jack the waiter was lucky. At least they didn't get violent at the table, though they surely must have been monkey-loud. But why can't Jack and the other Multi Cultists transfer their coarsening social angst into out and out violence against the system, or at least-- sheer publically, continually transmitted hate, grist for the mill? Maybe if gros would eat out more often it would help all the Jacks see the light.
