Al-Furqan Foundation for Media Production, the official distributor and producer of multimedia for the Islamic State of Iraq, issued to jihadist forums today, Thursday, April 19, 2007, the videotaped execution of twenty members of the Iraqi Ministries of Defense and Interior who were claimed captured in a communiqué from the group dated April 14, 2007. The 6:11 minute video bears similarities to the group’s execution film of eighteen Interior Ministry employees on March 3rd of this year, depicting the individuals bounded and blindfolded, sitting in rows as a statement regarding their capture and demands made of the Iraqi government are displayed on the screen. Some employees identify themselves, and the scene cuts to outdoor footage, like the previous video, where the captured are lined up side by side, kneeling on the ground, as one gunman fires at each individual, one by one. Two cameras show the execution from different perspectives, ending with the employees lying in a heap.
