Mirror of Revilo Oliver's collection
The late Dr. Revilo Pendleton Oliver, Professor of Classics at the University of Illinois for 32 years, was a scholar of international distinction who wrote articles in four languages for the most prestigious academic publications in the United States and Europe. His first book was a copiously annotated translation from the Sanskrit (Mrcchakatika, the Little Clay Cart, Urbana, 1938). During World War II, Dr. Oliver was Director of Research in a highly secret agency of the War Department, and was cited for outstanding service to his country. One of the very few academicians outspoken in his opposition to the progressive defacement of our civilization, Dr. Oliver insisted that the fate of his countrymen hangs on their willingness to subordinate their doctrinal differences to the tough but idealistic solidarity which is the prerequisite for the resurgence of European-Americans.HERE
