The victim told police that a man walked over to her and offered to help, but instead he pushed her to the ground.
Police said the man then kicked the pregnant woman in the stomach, choked her, grabbed her purse and ran away.
An ambulance transported the woman to Sinai Grace Hospital, where she and the baby are expected to be OK.
Mike Sabah heard the woman's screams and ran over to help her. He told Local 4 that he was disgusted that a man would assault a woman, especially a pregnant woman.
"I heard the lady. She was screaming like crazy. She needed help. Right away, I called the police at 911," Sabah said.
