WND broke the story of Chicago Catholic priest Michael Pfleger's sermon Sunday at Obama's Trinity United Church of Christ, in which he implied Clinton was a white supremacist who believed she would win the nomination because of "white entitlement."
Sen. Barack Obama campaign today scrubbed from its official website a testimonial by a close associate and spiritual adviser who claimed Sen. Hillary Clinton cried in public because she thought being white entitled her to the Democratic presidential nomination.
Hours after the story broke, Obama's campaign removed a testimonial by Pfleger from the "Faith" section of its website although an archived version is still available.
Obama also denounced Pfleger, who reportedly represented the presidential candidate's campaign at faith gatherings.
"As I have traveled this country, I've been impressed not by what divides us, but by all that that unites us. That is why I am deeply disappointed in Father Pfleger's divisive, backward-looking rhetoric, which doesn't reflect the country I see or the desire of people across America to come together in common cause," Obama said.

http://holycoast.blogspot.com/2008/06/pfleger-fired-for-foolish-facundity.html ... Michael Pfleger's minstrel show in Chicago has been cancelled by the Archdiocese: The firebrand pastor of St. Sabina parish was removed from his duties there Tuesday, according to a statement released by the Archdiocese of Chicago.
In the statement, Cardinal Francis George says he asked the Rev. Michael Pfleger, 59, to "take leave for a couple of weeks from his pastoral duties." The statement said Pfleger "does not believe this to be the right step at this time." "While respecting his disagreement, I have nevertheless asked him to use this opportunity to reflect on his recent statements and actions in the light of the Church's regulations for all Catholic priests," George said.
The recent statements in question were video clips broadcast on You Tube where Pfleger mocked Hillary Clinton for crying on the campaign trail. He suggested her tears were due to "white entitlement" leading Clinton to believe the Democratic nomination should go to her, not Barack Obama.
Pfleger has been a priest for 33 years, serving nearly all that time at St.
Sabina's in the Auburn-Gresham neighborhood.
The "self-loathing middle-aged white guy with his collar on backwards doing a poor imitation of Rev. Jeremiah Wright" act did not go over well with the Cardinal.
