I watched a direct and constant live news feed of this story for about 2 1/2 hours.  It was via Channel 9 in Manchester NH.  Not too awfully long after I started watching, they mentioend that the crisis had been going on for "over three hours".  Of course, I began searching google straightaway.  The only reason I even stumbled into it is because i'd just searched http://newslink.org , looking for breaking stories to put onto Podblanc's new vbulletin forum.

Anyway, there were maybe two or three online stories in google news just before channel 9 mentioned the three hour quip. NONE of those few two or three had his name at that 3 hours point---it was roughly 3 hours later still, till they came up with that, even though LOCALS darn tootin' knew!  There was absolutely NO front page google news on this at that time.  I have no doubt of this--as I kep looking and looking and was astounded it wasn't on the front page of google news.  In my opinion, and judging too from the "mentally ill" coments, I began to suspect he might not be a White.  The local AP (often the news "arbiter" to the world at large in such cases) had "made the call".  That's what I think happened.
