I just threw this together
I just threw this together in about 10 minutes.
Its good you are redditing.
Its good you are redditing. You must teach me how to make a vid with multiple chops and edits in 10 minutes. I am absolutely sure Arktos and Heimdall want to learn how to, lol.
Brilliant work! Could You
Brilliant work!
Could You please make one on "cute", "goodlooking" Michelle Obongo?
Well I work for an
Well I work for an advertising company and I edit video for a living, and I can say that the best way to learn to speed edit is just to choose a program and learn the key commands like the back of your hand. I use Adobe Premiere Pro at home and I use Final Cut Pro at work, as well as After Effects, Motion, and Soundtrack Pro. It just comes down to practice basically. You'll find it takes you longer to find the clips and encode them then it does to edit, which is the fun part. If you ever need any help, just let me know and I'll help you any way I can.
This video didn't last long on JewTube. Less than 24 hours, a record for me.
Pls crank some more since
Pls crank some more since they are created so quickly. My friend Byron Jost who made The Line in the Sand was a professional editor in Los Angeles for 9 years, but he has told me before that the speed is not so fast..in his case. I use Sony Vegas 7-- I know Arktos uses Adobe pretty much exclusively. Did you ever see his Asa Coon vids. I think they are amongst the best on podblanc.-

Of course, the rendering alone for thos Asa Coon vids likely took 45 min to an hour, and as you say--a while to find the vids and chop them. But worth it.
In any case, in that you are so incredibly fast at it because you do it for a living, itd be much appreciated if you would create many.
Sure no problem. I have to
Sure no problem. I have to edit fast at work because a lot of times the clients need the commercials or radio spots in a hurry. Of course, adding graphics, effects, etc, can take quite a bit longer. But just throwing a few clips together takes almost no time at all, even at my home PC which actually has an older Pentium 4.
Oh one more thing - is there anyway to embed videos that are on Podblanc?
click the button "share"
click the button "share" under your favourite vid, copy the embed code, and you're ready to go.
Here's a short tutorial I made:

Are any of the programs You
Are any of the programs You mention here open-source?
I'm new at this, but have been wanting to upgrade from WMM for a while.
What would You recommend as a "not too high-end" software?
Thanks for the tip Angel.
Thanks for the tip Angel.
I'm pretty sure that neither Final Cut Pro nor Adobe Premiere Pro are open source, and they're both high end.
If you want an upgrade, but not too high end, I recommend Adobe Premiere Elements, which like Final Cut Express and Avid Express, was developed for consumers. But unlike Final Cut Express and Avid Express, Adobe Premiere Elements allows unlimited video and audio tracks, also chroma-key, and picture-in-picture. It's also compatible with many 3rd party plug-ins, such as After Effects. Also Premiere Elements is about $140, whereas Final Cut Express is $200. I actually used Avid Express when I was in broadcasting school, and it's a good program also, but it looks like they're discontinuing it.
On the other hand, WMM is surprisingly a good program, especially considering it's free with Windows. I still use it every now and then when I want to compress something down to WMV.
That is some qualified
That is some qualified advice Ares, thx.
