Man In Center Of Pikesville Mystery Free On Bail TOWSON, Md. (WJZ/AP) ― A Pikesville man accused of setting off the loud nighttime pyrotechnics that disturbed his neighbors for months has been released on $250,000 bail. Prosecutors say Frederick Mackler, 59, was released Friday. He was ordered by Baltimore County Judge Robert Cahill to remain on detention at a relative's home. Prosecutors argued unsuccessfully against bail, saying Mackler remained a threat to the community. Mackler's release came two weeks after Judge Norman Stone revoked a $1 million bail, expressing fears Mackler would "blow up" his neighborhood.

Besides fireworks, police found drugs and 16 firearms at Mackler's apartment. Mackler was arrested after neighbors complained to Eyewitness News about mysterious explosions in the middle of the night. http://wjz.com/local/pikesville.explosions.2.722543.html
